During the newest upgrade for Sales Access Manager V4 a couple new features were added to prevent loss of any data in situations where the sheet is not saved and exited properly.
The Save and Exit routines were broken out two to distinct functions instead of one in the icon in the previous versions.
Therefore users have a couple different options for properly saving and exit the worksheet for SAM.
Under the "File" menu, for a joint save/exit routine, just select "Save and Exit". This will save the sheet and close after saving.
After entered data, select the "Save" under File Menu or the "Save" icon. This will just hold the current data within the sheet, but does not release the sheet for updating field mapping in the CRM system nor releasing it to the SAM Server. A user needs to click the "Exit" icon in the worksheet to properly exit the sheet.
If just "Save" is selected and the web browser window is closed, or the CRM session ended the sheet is locked as it has not been properly exited. The user who did this needs to open the sheet and perform the "Save & Exit" functions to make it unlocked for other users.
